dc.description.abstractThis paper presents a study of the behavior of mortars made with cement and sand. This behavior is tested in the laboratory through experimentation with different ratios. A Fuzzy RuleBased System is designed with the resulting experimental data to aid in calculating ratios of future mortars. Due to the lack of regulations on mortar ratios, the main goal of this paper is to provide construction professionals with a tool to help prepare mortar. The fuzzy system designed allows the user to know the f inal characteristic of the mortars in advance. The resulting fuzzy system is validated by comparing its calculated output with real values obtained through new experiments conducted in the laboratory
