To this end, a sample of 21 pupils of a classroom of 1 º of Primary Education andtutor where selected. Two instruments were in used: The CUDEA (Artiles & Jiménez, 2007);a standardized test that gathers the valuation of the teacher of the curricular competence ofthe student in writing. The second applied instrument was the IPAE (Indicators of Progress ofLearning in Writing, Jiménez and Gil, 2017), which evaluates the writing skills of thestudents. This instrument includes tasks that go from the writing of letters to the writing ofphrases and stories.We find that a significant relationship exists between the judgment of the teacher andthe performance of the student in writing demonstrated across the IPAE. Finally, theeducational implications of these findings are analysed, where it is emphasized the need to anticipate and detect early the possible difficulties of learning that the pupils show to be ableto give educational responses adapted to the needs and that minimize these problems.
