AB The analysis of political activism has always been developed from political, philosophicaland legal perspectives. These fields of study are conceived as the most appropriate andpertinent ones for this task. However, when taking civil disobedience as reference, whichis rightfully justified in the public forum, an argumentative analysis can also be a mostadequate and viable method to approach this issue. In order to develop such a perspective,it is necessary to have a specific theoretical framework that links this political phenomenonto public discourse; in addition, it should be seen as an argumentative proposal within thefield of political deliberation. Moreover, the multiplicity of goals that it may have must beattended to. All in all, the prime objective of this work is to build this theoretical frameworkup in order to justify a way to analyze this mode of political activism, as well as to exposeits emancipatory potential and its importance in a democratic context.
