AB The modernization of technology on the Internet has become a very lucrative businessand has placed a material value on our personal data. In this regard, we will study theemergence of the right to be forgotten as a novel legal response in the field of digitalnetworks to try to limit the negative consequences in the free and open of personal datato Internet systems and services.From a doctrinal and jurisprudential point of view, this work offers a study of thepersonality rights and fundamental rights affected in this area and the most relevantjudgments that have helped to regulate this right in the community sphere andconsequently at a national level.The main door opens to this right through a Judgment of the European Court of Justiceto which we will refer and that resolves a specific case and in which it recognizes withsome limitations the right to be forgotten. This sentence addresses the importance ofknowing if we have the right to ask to be forgotten because we no longer want to beremembered in Internet, and we will know the opinion of a part of the doctrine thatdissents from it.
