All this is reflected in an aging population and areduced capacity of the labor force so that Europe like Spain, looking for differentstrategies to deal with such a situation. These strategies are designed to increase theemployment rate of older people increasing the retirement age, eliminating any incentivefor early withdrawal from the labor market and encouraging the use of this group.Therefore, this paper will focus on knowing the different measures that have been takento address this situation, relating them to the importance of collective bargaining and theprevention of occupational hazards in the maintenance of working life of older workers 55years.
