AB This Final Degree Project studies the evolution of the Spanish economy andthe Spanish labour market between 2006-2020. The concepts analyzed inthe graphs are defined and a basic economic theoretical framework is madeon the labour market. We proceed to the analysis of the situation of theSpanish economy and the labour market. The economic crisis became realas of 2007 and strongly affects both the economy and the labour market.Making the economy grow and mitigating unemployment after excesssupply become the main objectives. The existing rigidity in wages and inthe markets for goods and services is a problem. The impossibility ofredirecting the negative situation means that necessary and extremelynecessary measures are taken, even if they are not to everyone's taste.During 2014, the macroeconomic figures of the analyzed variables began toimprove, given the reforms applied, and in subsequent years these figurescontinue to be positive for the economy and the labour market, whichindicates that they have been a success and a good management in the faceof the strong problems arising from the crisis and the impossibility ofcombating them. But the evolution of recent years both politically andeconomically and labour has not gone well. Already before Covid 19 theeffects were noticeable, worsening the situation due to the pandemicsuffered in 2020.
