RT info:eu-repo/semantics/article T1 Cognitive Dimensions of Anteriority in Locative Prefixes A1 Sosa Acevedo, Eulalia AB The Functional-Lexematic Model (FLM) assumes that, togetherwith non-derived, primary vocabulary, affixal units constitute a part ofthe lexicon of natural languages, which ultimately leads to the configurationof an autonomous Word-Formation Component (WFC). Functional-Lexematic approaches to the analysis of lexical meaning havelargely been restricted to the domains of primary vocabulary. Encouragedby this background, the description expounded in this paper seeksto explore the suitability of the Functional-Lexematic cognitive-semanticapproach to account for the interpretation of the meaning of prefixalmorphemes within the derived lexicon of present-day English.
