AB The present work studies the introduction in the Canary Islands of the Castilian Councilthat had been developing during the centuries of the late Middle Ages, analyzing how theconquest of each one of the islands had a decisive influence on its subsequent administra-tive, political, and economic organization. In addition, it analyzes each council office ofthe councils, with special emphasis on the justice-regiment duality.
