Many elements successfully contributed to the achievement of this goal and became indispensable tools of the language of power propaganda.This paper offers the analysis of the role of clothing in some of these ceremonies, such as those related to the reception of foreign ambassadors or royal entries, with especial reference to Isabella I of Castile. The careful choice of a dress for every occasion seemed intended to ensure, in some cases, self-assertion, in others imitation, and in all cases magnificence and pageantry.
