De la Educación Secundaria Obligatoria al Bachillerato: Análisis de los procesos de transición, adaptabilidad y fracaso escolar

Abstract

The present document analyze the transition process students when they pass from 4th ESO to 1st year of Bachillerato, with the ultimate goal of preventing and reducing the abandonment of non-compulsory and higher education. To this end, a questionnaire has been prepared that includes five dimensions that affect and influence the decision to extend its educational stage, with the sample of this study being 104 students from the 1st year of Bachillerato in the municipality of Los Realejos. Among the results obtained, the following stand out: family members have been the agents that have most influenced the decision to choose to complete the first year of high school; the students take a bachelor's degree because it will allow them to develop a university study; to attend this educational stage arises because of the concern for the future; and, they are unhappy with the teaching methodology used. This research shows the formative demands that students face when completing the baccalaureate educational stage, so it is convenient to develop new educational methodologies.

El presente Trabajo de Fin de Máster, pretende analizar el proceso de transición al que se enfrentan los estudiantes al pasar de la Educación Secundaria Obligatoria a 1º de Bachillerato, con el fin último de prevenir y reducir el abandono de los estudios no obligatorios y superiores. Para ello, se ha elaborado un cuestionario que contempla cinco dimensiones que inciden e influyen en la decisión de ampliar su etapa educativa, siendo la muestra de este estudio 104 estudiantes de 1º de bachillerato del municipio de Los Realejos. Entre los resultados obtenidos, destacan los siguientes: los familiares han sido los agentes que más han influido en la decisión de elegir realizar 1º de bachillerato; los estudiantes realizan bachillerato porque les permitirá desarrollar un estudio universitario; cursar esta etapa educativa surge por la preocupación hacia el futuro; y, están descontentos con la metodología de enseñanza que se utilizan. Esta investigación muestra las exigencias formativas a las que se enfrentan los estudiantes al realizar la etapa educativa de bachillerato, por lo que resulta conveniente desarrollar nuevas metodologías educativas.
