dc.description.abstractThe right to exercise their autonomy, receiving a proper, informed consent is a right of the patient who has been achieved after centuries of medical paternalism. The Núremberg's code, arisen after the atrocities of the Nazi regime, and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, supposed a great advance to achieve this aim. Cancer patients are vulnerable to suffer psychological alterations associated with treatment with chemotherapy. Providing a better knowledge and undestanding of this treatment can help them improve their quality of life. The informed consent of chemotherapy, in interactive video format, is a project that emerged with the aim of helping to better understand its treatment to the oncohematological patient, providing them with more visual and detailed information, accompanied by interactive questions, in order to strengthen knowledge . This video was seen and valued by 16 patients of the S º of Hematología of the HUNSC, which already had received chemotherapy. The evaluation of these patients was very positive, recognizing that had helped them to understand their treatment and that had understood it better than the assent informed in paper. The evaluation of the interactive questions was also positive These patients, recommend that other patients, who are going to get treatment for the first time, should see this video, to help them to understand better the chemotherapy.en
dc.description.abstractEl derecho a ejercer su autonomía, recibiendo un consentimiento informado adecuado, es un derecho del paciente que se ha logrado tras siglos de paternalismo médico. El código de Núremberg, surgido tras las atrocidades del régimen Nazi, y la Declaración Universal de los Derechos Humanos, supusieron un gran avance para lograr este objetivo. El paciente oncológico, débil frente a su enfermedad, es vulnerable a sufrir alteraciones psicológicas asociadas al tratamiento con quimioterapia. El facilitarles un mejor conocimiento y comprensión de este tratamiento puede ayudarles a mejorar su calidad de vida. El consentimiento informado de la quimioterapia, en formato de vídeo interactivo, es un proyecto que surgió con la finalidad de ayudar a comprender mejor su tratamiento al paciente oncohematológico, facilitándoles una información más visual y detalladamente explicada, acompañada de preguntas interactivas , para poder afianzar conocimientos. Este vídeo fue visto y valorado por 16 pacientes del Sº de Hematología del HUNSC, que ya habían recibido quimioterapia. La valoración de estos pacientes fue muy positiva, reconociendo que les había ayudado a comprender su tratamiento y que lo habían entendido mejor que el consentimiento informado en papel. Siendo positiva también la valoración de la aportación de las preguntas interactivas. Estos pacientes, recomiendan que otros pacientes, que vayan a recibir tratamiento por primera vez, vean este video, para ayudarles a comprender mejor la quimioterapia.es_ES
