| es_ES |
dc.description.abstract | As is well-known, the inflectional type referred to by Latin grammarians as the 5th declension is made up of a conglomeration of nouns of different origins which is distinguished by its homogeneity regarding both inflection and grammatical gender. This latter only admits the feminine gender and, as happens with the 1st declension, it lacks a neuter inflectional type. The aim of this paper, however, is to attempt to explain a few fluctuations towards the masculine (dies, especially) and the neuter (abstract nouns ending in -ie–-s, like pauperie–s, -e–i [pauperium]) that can be found in this declension. | en_EN |
