La paradoja de Teseo en la identidad artística: Interfaz viusal en le subjetivismo

Abstract

Existe una cuestión filosófica que ha venido planteándose desde la Antigüedad, y en cuyo abordaje han invertido tiempo de reflexión diversos autores. Actualmente, la presencia de la Paradoja de Teseo en la encrucijada con el Arte Contemporáneo vuelve a estar vigente. Hoy nos hallamos ante formas y conceptos visuales que han inaugurado esquemas artísticos antes desconocidos, y abren hacia el público un debate interno y externo sobre la idea de «arte» en soportes distintos a los tradicionales. Nuevas prácticas artísticas, como el Net Art, introducen cuestiones pendientes como el arte amateur, el espectador desinformado y la falta de convenciones definitorias. Esto deriva en la desconfianza ante sensaciones que no avistan la institucionalización del arte como una categoría clásicamente convencional. Ante los factores semánticos e intersubjetivos, es importante la reflexión sobre el panorama estético que hoy presenciamos, para crear un espacio de debate resoluble que nos salve del desinterés del espectador.

There is a philosophical issue which has been around since Classical Times, and much time has been spent on its consideration by different authors. Once again, the presence of the Paradox of Theseus at the crossroads with Contemporary Art appears to be valid in current times. Today we find ourselves facing visual forms and concepts which have unveiled previously unknown artistic perceptions, and an internal and external debate is opened up to the public on the idea of «art» in different media than the traditional forms. New artistic practices, such as Net Art, introduce unresolved issues such as amateur art, the uninformed spectator and the lack of defining conventions. This results in suspicion of sensations which do not consider the institutionalisation of art to be a classically conventional category. In the face of semantic and inter-subjective factors, it is important that we reflect on the aesthetic panorama that we are witnessing, in order to create a space for productive debate which overcomes the spectators’ lack of interest.
