La espacialidad humana y la escultura (siglo XX)

Abstract

Se pretende demostrar, partiendo de la relación ontológica entre el hombre y el espacio, que el arte facilita el desarrollo del hombre y el progreso de la sociedad siendo, por un lado, indicador de las crisis del hombre y la sociedad y, por otro, catalizador de cambios humanos y sociales capaces de transformar y mejorar el entorno humano y la relación entre los seres. A la luz de las intervenciones escultóricas desarrolladas en el contexto del s. xx, que nos permiten hablar de un arte que nunca antes había sido tan espacial, tridimensional, tetradimensional o virtual, el estudio revisa el espacio plástico como forma de conocimiento de la relación vital, activa y reflexiva entre el individuo y el mundo.

The text aims to demonstrate, taking as a starting point the ontological relationship between man and space, that art furthers the development of mankind and social progress, being, on one hand an indicator of human and social crises and, on the other hand, a catalyst for human and social change which is able to transform and improve the relationship between human beings. In light of the sculptural works created in the 20th century, which allow us to speak of an art from that has never before been so spatial, three-dimensional, four-dimensional or virtual, the study reexamines the plastic space as a means for understanding the vital, active and reflexive relationship between the individual and the world.
