El siguiente artículo estudia diversos aspectos del documental The Deadliest Plane Crash
(2006), especialmente aquellos que evidencian etnocentrismo en el texto. Asimismo, comparamos
la intrahistoria expresada en el argumento del film con la historia social y política
de Canarias durante la Transición.
This article aims at studying different aspects of the documentary film The Deadliest Plane
Crash (2006). Special attention is paid to American-centered ethnocentric views implicit in
the text. A comparison is established too between the inner history outlined in the film on
the one hand, and the social and political events that took place in the Canary Islands
throughout the post-Franco period on the other.
