Tatuajes visibles, percepción del profesionalismo enfermero

Abstract

Los tatuajes tienen una largo recurrido histórico que ha traspasado culturas y siglos hasta llegar a la actualidad, en donde aunque todavía se tienen prejuicios de ellos están formando parte de la gran mayoría de la población. Incluyéndose ya, en una parte más del aspecto físico de las enfermeras, pero aunque en gran medida se ha preestablecido que estos pueden desprestigiar y percibirse como una disminución del profesionalismo por parte de los pacientes aún todavía no hay una respuesta concreta. Objetivos: Analizar si la presencia de tatuajes visibles influye en la percepción de profesionalismo de las enfermeras del Complejo Hospitalario Universitario de Canarias por parte de las personas participantes en el estudio. Metodología: Estudio cuantitativo observacional-analítico-transversal dividido en dos partes, una búsqueda bibliográfica y una entrevista semi-estructurada con un cuestionario, autocumplimentable que consta de 18 preguntas a llevar a cabo en las salas de espera del edificio de consulta, previa autorización del Complejo Hospitalario Universitario de Canarias y el visto bueno del Comité Ético. Que cada usuario contestará tras la visualización de cuatro imágenes y tras diez segundos completarán el documento. La población a estudio serán todos los usuarios que entren entro de los criterios de inclusión, realizando un muestro intencional sobre 237 personas. Tras la obtención de datos las variables serán analizadas mediante el programa SPSS y tendrán consistencia estadística aquellas estimaciones con una p valor inferior a 0.05. Resultados esperados: Se prevé no encontrar diferencias significativas entre el profesionalismo del personal con tatuaje como sin tatuaje. De igual manera, mediante los resultados obtenidos se pretende ayudar en la gestión del personal por parte de recursos humanos, justificando que la presencia de estas modificaciones corporales no interferirá en el profesionalismo ni en la relación que se produce entre el paciente y el profesional.
