The aim of this project is to design the electrical installation and fire protection measures of an image diagnose clinic. These is a radiology specialized clinic specialized
in detecting, locate and even prevent different pathologies.
The clinic is situated inside a two-storey building on its second floor and occupies a surface of 302,77 m2 .Inside you can find a waiting room, two consultation
rooms, bathrooms, a staff room and finally the specialized radiology rooms: general xray, dental radiography, echography, mammography and densitometry.
The project will be divided into several chapters in which different topics are
attended. From technical theory or calculation issues to financial matters and budgets or
legal specification matters, including safety measures.
To carry out this project I had to carry out a technical research of machines these clinics need so I could define the consumption power. This specific radiology machinery, office computers or simple electric devices and general and emergency
lightning. This analysis gave a total installed power of 86,07 kW, being 2314 W of lighting and 83.76 kW of the power circuit.
With the previous results the electrical installation was designed requiring only one individual derivation to supply the whole clinic which comes from the counter
centralization. Power will be supplied by ENDESA, S.L.U. to the building. Several protection methods have been chosen to protect the interior circuits including the general control and protection devices.
The design of the fire protection measures has been made according to the current regulations. These have meant the election of several fire extinguishers (dry powder for general use and CO2 for electrical fire risks) and all the corresponding
signalling.
The general and emergency lighting calculations have been made with the DIALUX 4.12 program. Otherwise, the budget and legal specifications have been elaborated with the help of ARQUIMEDES of CYPE software. All of the plans have
been made with AUTOCAD. Finally, a security and health study has been made too to secure all of the workers labour.
