Entre la vocación turística y la devoción. Percepciones sociales del patrimonio cultural en un contexto turístico. El caso de Malinalco, Estado de México

Abstract

El interés de este trabajo es comprender la forma en la que los actores sociales perciben y producen su patrimonio cultural. Este acercamiento comprende las acciones y motivaciones de un grupo social en torno a los elementos culturales que transforman en patrimonio cultural pero también la manera en la que inciden o se contraponen las acciones del estado previstas en las políticas culturales de protección y aprovechamiento del patrimonio. La ejecución de estas políticas implica problemáticas cuando se prevé la participación ciudadana para defi nir el ejercicio de los recursos en la protección del patrimonio cultural y el entorno ecológico que están íntimamente relacionados con la definición constante de una identidad cultural local.

The first interest in this research is to understanding the way which the social actors perceive and produce his cultural heritage. This approach requires an understanding not only of the actions and motivations of a social group around the cultural elements that decide to transform cultural heritage but also the manner in which they interact or contradict the actions of state policy under cultural protection and utilization of cultural heritage. But on the other hand, my interest is to show the problems involved in implementing these policies when public participation is expected to define the exercise of resources in cultural heritage protection and the ecological environment are closely related to the definition of a constant local cultural identity.
