The teaching profession requires training that includes academic knowledge, skills to handle different resources and pedagogical methods; to motivate and help students in the learning process, and to plan activities and evaluate. But additionally, the teacher must keep updated on the innovations that science and technology make available to teaching. In recent years there has been a special interest in Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), from different disciplines. For this reason, in this end-of-degree project, a theoretical review is carried out on the ADHD (ADHD), the different treatments and their consequences for the child, the controversies about medicalization and the economic benefits of the pharmaceutical industry; all with the purpose of contributing to specify the role of the primary school teacher in the care of children with ADHD.en
