La ansiedad del personal de enfermería frente a la muerte de sus pacientes.

Abstract

La muerte ha ido instaurándose en el ámbito hospitalario y es uno de los momentos más difíciles de afrontar para los profesionales de enfermería ya que se producen momentos de tensión y sentimientos que duelen ante situaciones críticas o momentos terminales de la vida del paciente y si a esto le sumamos el tiempo que se pasa con el paciente y sus familiares crea diversas emociones, como la ansiedad, que de no ser canalizada de manera correcta puede ocasionar graves problemas e influenciar de manera negativa en los cuidados al paciente. El objetivo de este estudio se basará en medir la ansiedad por parte del profesional de enfermería en las unidades de hospitalización y servicios especiales de cuidados intensivos y urgencias del Hospital General de La Palma

Death has been establishing itself in the hospital environment and it´s one of the hardest times to face for nursing professionals as there are moments of tension and feelings that hurt before critical situations or terminal moments of the patient´s life and if we add to this the time spent with the patient and his family creates various emotions. The objective of this study will therefore be based onmeasuring anxiety on the part of the nursing professional in the hospitalization units and special intensive care and emergency services of the General Hospital of La Palma.
