Como ventanas cerradas

Abstract

El siguiente proyecto pretende investigar los límites entre la apariencia y el ser de las personas a través de la ventana como metáfora del ser social. Apoyado tanto en la trayectoria de la ventana como elemento simbólico en las artes, como en la semiótica y las ciencias de la conducta, el tema toma la forma material de libro de artista, del cual también se estudia su historia. El libro, llamado Como ventanas cerradas, nace de la unión de distintos capítulos que narran la historia de una ventana o ventanas. Estas representan a una persona diferente, empleando para ello un nuevo lenguaje con el uso de la tela, mediante distintos tipos de intervenciones, con lo que el libro se expresa a través del tratamiento de la tela, la fotografía y el dibujo.

The following work looks into the limits between appearance and being of people through the use of the window as a metaphor of the social being. Supported both by the trayectory of the window as a symbolic element in arts and by semiotics and behavioural sciences, the theme takes the form of an artist book, which is also studied from a synthesised historical point of view. This book, called As closed windows, is born from the connection of multiple chapters that tell the story of a window or windows. Each one represents one different person, using for this purpose a new language with the use of fabrics and its different interventions, so the book express itself through the fabric, photography and drawing.
