La docencia de primaria en la legislación educativa

Abstract

Este artículo estudia la docencia en el marco legal establecido por la LOGSE y la LOPEGCE. Analizamos los condicionantes directos e indirectos que circunscriben y definen las tareas y funciones del profesorado de Primaria en Canarias. Los primeros definen explícitamente las funciones del profesorado y los segundos perfilan las dimensiones y elementos sustantivos de la educación y las instituciones educativas en las que trabajan los maestros. Para realizar este trabajo se han analizado las leyes orgánicas referidas y distintos documentos normativos de distinto rango tanto del Estado como de la Comunidad Autónoma Canaria.

This article studies how primary education teaching appears in the legal framework provided by the 1990 Educational Act (known as LOGSE) and the 1995 Educational Act (known as LOPEG). We analyse the determining factors that limit and define primary education teachers’ tasks and functions in the Canary Islands. We distinguish between direct and indirect determining factors. The first ones explain teaching functions and the second ones shape the dimensions and substantive elements of education and the schools’ structure and functioning, i.e.: the contexts where teachers work. The two mentioned Educational Acts and other legal documents of different kind approved by the Spanish Government and the Canary Island Regional Government have been analized.
