Algunas reflexiones sobre el turismo cultural

Abstract

El presente artículo, si bien no pretende hacer un análisis exhaustivo sobre el turismo cultural, tiene por objetivo presentar algunas reflexiones acerca de esta modalidad turística desde diferentes aspectos. En primer lugar se abordará la relación entre turismo cultural y globalización, para luego centrarse en la incidencia de esta actividad como factor de desarrollo local y regional, haciendo referencia a algunos ejemplos de Argentina. Intentará también introducir acerca de los aspectos positivos y negativos, o puntos fuertes y débiles del turismo cultural. Y por último, esbozará algunas consideraciones acerca del rol de las organizaciones internacionales y de las principales agencias de cooperación internacional, incluyendo las resoluciones, declaraciones y recomendaciones más significativas en este campo del turismo.

The objective of the present article, without pretending make an exhaustive analysis about the cultural tourism, is to introduce some reflections about this way of tourism from different points of view. Firstly, it will broach the relationship between cultural tourism and globalisation, and then it will be centered in the incidence of this activity as factor of local and regional development, specially considering some examples in Argentina.It will also try to introduce the discussion about their the positive and negative aspects, or strengths and weaknesses of cultural tourism. Finally, it will comment some considerations about the role of the international bodies and the agencies of cooperation, including the most significant declarations, resolutions and recomendations in this field.
