Los archivos municipales de Tenerife y su importancia para investigar el caciquismo. El archivo municipal de Fasnia

Abstract

El objeto de este trabajo es sintetizar la situación actual de los archivos municipales de Tenerife, explicando su evolución reciente, y reivindicar su importancia para la investigación histórica contemporánea, particularmente en lo relativo al tema del caciquismo y la cuestión agraria. Como modelo se ha tomado el Archivo Municipal de Fasnia, describiendo someramente las series más importantes que, en relación a este tema, forman parte de su fondo documental.

The aim of this paper is to synthesize the present situation of Tenerife’s municipal archives, explaining their recent evolution, and to show their importance for the contemporary historical research, particularly in the topics of caciquism and the Agrarian Question. It has been taken as a model the Municipal Archive of Fasnia, being slightly described the most important series that, in relation to this topic, are part of its documental base.
