The finding of a possible Barbarian graffito in one of the pylons of the temple of Debod offers the opportunity to review some of the ways in which a hypothetical Blemmyan (or, at least, Barbarian) presence could have taken place in Debod. The cultural implications of the inscription are considered and a reading and a chronology for it are also proposed.en_EN
