The importance of worker’s health, have made the beginning of study of the
exoskeletons. This Project presents an exoskeleton design which goes designed for
reduce the shoulder joint effort, which presents several risk in some Jobs. In this
work, have been studied a “Levitate” exoskeleton improvement, because many Jobs
where the worker stay with amrs above the heart level for a long time, present an
high risk percentage of being injured.
For the exoskeleton design, many studies have been done. On the one hand,
has been studied the arm’s strenghts. Once this has been calculated, we have to
design something to reduce the effort. Several ideas and opinions gave two designs
stipulated in the Project. Looking for the best ergonomic system for the person who
will use it, we had to search a simple method, which could be introduced in “Levitate”
exoskeleton. The first studied improvement has been to put a diagonal slide bar for
reduce the shoulder effort. The second one, has been to put a spring in the middle
of two “Levitate” exoskeleton bars. Both of them, are improvements of this
exoskeleton, but we have already studied a posible injury in the worker’s legs,
studying the tibia rupture, the horizontal bar flexion and the vertical bar buckling.
Finally, both studies has been made for two materials, Steel and aluminium.
We have used the Solidworks program for the exoskeletons design, and we have
made a Budget comparison of every exoskeleton designs.
