Abstract

La obra de Alexander von Humboldt ejercerá, como se sabe, una profunda influencia no sólo en aquellos preocupados por las expediciones científicas sino también en aquellos interesados en la representación estética de la naturaleza y en la esencia de los relatos de viajes. Una muestra de esta influencia la podemos ver en Sabin Berthelot, en particular en sus Miscellanées canariennes, donde se tienen en cuenta la figura y las posiciones del viajero y naturalista alemán.

It is widely known that the works of Alexander von Humboldt were highly influential not only on those attracted by the scientific expeditions, but also on those interested in the aesthetic representation of Nature and the essence of travel writings. This influence can be easily seen in Sabin Berthelot, especially in his Miscellanées canariennes, where there is a place for the figure and points of view of the German traveller and naturalist.
