Fast food is greatly consumed for many reasons, for lack of time and financial restrictions, among others.Among this category we can find hamburgers, such meat can be bovine, but it is actually those based on vegetables which are increasing in popularity. Those can be contaminated with toxic materials, due to the process of the raw material or environmental contamination. The objective of this study was to determine these metals and compare them between McDonald's burgers, Burger King and Burger Mel. Given the circumstances caused by COVID-19, it could not be completed, so a bibliographic review was carried out, collecting information on similar foods: meat products and vegetarian hamburgers. Apparently, there are some major differences compared to the average level of metals in meat-based produce and vegetarian hamburgers. And taking into account the recommended daily intakes (RDI) and the acceptable daily intakes (IDA) the toxic risk was evaluated. The consumption of 100g per week of these types of food would mean a very low contribution of metals. Also determined in the study, is the quantity which would have been consumed in these foods, when toxic effects are shown in the consumers.en
