El efecto de las preocupaciones ambientales de los residentes en el comportamiento medioambientalmente responsable: una perspectiva desde la teoría de la identidad

Abstract

Este estudio ha sido realizado con el objetivo de analizar el comportamiento de responsabilidad ambiental, las preocupaciones ambientales y la actitud hacia el turismo de los residentes de la isla de Tenerife. En la actualidad es un destino turístico que recibe millones de visitantes por año y gran parte de la conservación de los recursos de un destino turístico recae en manos de los residentes y de su comportamiento de responsabilidad ambiental. En este estudio se propone analizar este comportamiento desde una perspectiva de identidad, con el fin de analizar la relación entre la identidad con el lugar, satisfacción con el lugar y normas personales de los residentes con su comportamiento de responsabilidad. Por ello, se ha realizado una encuesta a los residentes (N=1439) con el objetivo de analizar su comportamiento de responsabilidad ambiental y sus preocupaciones ambientales, además de su actitud hacia la actividad turística en la isla.

The study analyzes behaviour based on identity theories in order to identify relations between place identity, place satisfaction and personal norms of residents with their responsibility behaviour. Data to analyze the theoretical constructs was collected through a survey (N=1439) to identify their responsibility behaviour, environmental concerns and attitude toward tourism in Tenerife.
