Las estrategias narrativas y visuales en la obra de Alan Moore

Abstract

El guionista británico Alan Moore es uno de los grandes revolucionarios (junto con Frank Miller y Art Spiegelman) de la narrativa del cómic occidental. En este estudio planteamos analizar las estrategias narrativas y visuales, así como la evolución temática, evidenciando la madurez del medio alcanzada en las obras de Alan Moore. Centraremos el análisis en las obras más relevantes (Watchmen, V de Vendetta y From Hell) y en las que nos aporten rasgos distintivos o ejemplos significativos e inequívocos de sus innovaciones artísticas o características propias (La Cosa del Pantano, La Liga de los hombres extraordinarios, Miracleman y Promethea).

British screenwriter Alan Moore is one of the great revolutionaries (along with Frank Miller and Art Spiegelman) of the western comic book narrative. In this study we propose to analyze the narrative and visual strategies, as well as the thematic evolution, evidencing the maturity of the medium reached in the works of Alan Moore. We will focus the analysis on the most relevant works (Watchmen, V de Vendetta and From Hell) and in those that give us distinctive features or significant and unequivocal examples of their artistic innovations or characteristics (The Swamp Thing, The League of Extraordinary Men, Miracleman and Promethea).
