Estudio sobre el turismo sostenible y responsable en Canarias.

Abstract

El turismo sostenible es de gran interés e importancia en la actualidad, pues se trata de una alternativa viable para aproximarse a una nueva formulación de desarrollos turísticos integrados compatiblemente con el espacio local. Nuestra sociedad canaria necesita de un modelo turístico sostenible y responsable, buscar alternativas más sostenibles es ahora una prioridad, y no sólo para la protección del medio ambiente, sino, además para la supervivencia del comercio local, la conservación de nuestra cultura y de nuestros patrimonios materiales e inmateriales. De la mano de la antropología turística he tratado una serie de impactos turísticos para, seguidamente, medir cómo afecta el turismo no sostenible a muestras islas a través de un sistema de dimensiones e indicadores. Sin duda alguna, si analizamos el modelo turistico canario actual nos daremos cuenta que este necesita una remodelación y un cambio en torno a un turismo sostenible, para que se siga desarrollando. Pero esta vez desde un punto de vista responsable con nuestra tierra y a lo que a esta le afecta.

Sustainable tourism is of great interest and importance nowardays, as it is a viable alternative to approach a new formulation of integrated tourism developments compatible with environment. Our Canarian society needs a tourism model, looking for more sustainable alternatives is now a priority, and not only for the protection of the environment, but also for the survival of local commerce, the conservation of our culture and our tangible and intangible heritage . Hand in hand with tourist anthropology, I have dealt with a series of tourist impacts to then measure how unsustainable tourism affects island samples through a system of dimensions and indicators. Without a doubt, if we analyze the current Canarian tourism model, we will realize that it needs a remodeling and a change around sustainable tourism, so that it continues to develop. But this time from a responsible point of view with our land and what affects it.
