Cartografía de la envidia. El caso de Abel Sánchez

Abstract

Vamos a analizar el problema de la alteridad en la filosofía de Miguel de Unamuno a través del estudio de Abel Sánchez. En esta nivola Unamuno examina el concepto de envidia y esboza una teoría de la alteridad basada en la relación especular con el otro, que se constituye con las carencias de aquel que mira. Veremos también cuáles son las premisas filosóficas de este relato; de qué manera se vincula con la filosofía orgánica de Unamuno y cuál es su relación con la pieza teatral El Otro, estrenada más de una década después pero de temática muy similar. En último lugar esbozaremos una posible teoría de la alteridad unamuniana, formulada a través de la fraternidad y la ayuda desinteresada.

We are going to analyse the issue of alterity in the philosophy of Miguel de Unamuno through the study of Abel Sánchez. In this nivola, Unamuno examines the concept of envy and establishes the bases of a theory of alterity based on the specular relationship with the other, which it is constituted by the scarcities of the one who looks. We will also look at what are the philosophical premises of this narration, in which way it is linked with the organic philosophy of Unamuno, and what its relationship with the theatre piece El Otro is, released more than a decade after but of a quite similar subject. Finally, we will outline a possible theory of the alterity by Unamuno that it is formulated through the fraternity and altruistic help.
