COVID-19 is a virus that has begun to spread globally since the end of 2019.
Scientists in different countries have focused on creating a vaccine to end it.
But once vaccines are invented comes the problem of their manufacture and
distribution. The following work aims to study the feasibility of granting
compulsory licenses for the manufacture of the COVID-19 vaccine, since it
is a way of accessing them in which both the patent holder and the consumers
benefit.
This will be done through the study of compulsory licenses and also through
the study of other alternative legal mechanisms, such as the compulsory expropriation of the patent or the suspension of patents, with which it could
be possible to achieve the objective that the vaccine of the COVID-19 could
reach all the inhabitants of the planet.
