Introducción de la innovación y la tecnología como respuesta educativa al reto del sector turístico

Abstract

Si alguien nos hubiera insinuado mínimamente cómo se iba a desarrollar el final de este curso, hubiéramos pensado que estaba hablando de una película de ciencia ficción, pero más que nunca la realidad ha superado la ficción y la situación por la que pasamos en el momento de elaborar este trabajo no nos la hubiéramos imaginado nunca en la vida, situación que ha significado gran conmoción mundial, y que ha afectado a todos los aspectos de nuestras vidas, la doméstica, la laboral, la social, la familiar y por supuesto la vida estudiantil. En ese aspecto estudiantil es donde nos hemos visto afectados para la finalización de nuestro Máster, teniendo que interrumpir de forma repentina nuestras clases y adaptarnos a la vida telemática para nuestras tareas académicas, ya en la recta final del curso. Ahora más que nunca cobra sentido un análisis sobre las programaciones didácticas de nuestras especialidades, puesto que nada volverá a ser como antes y esto supondrá un punto de inflexión en las metodologías educativas, pero también en los contenidos y actividades a realizar para que se adapten a la nueva realidad que viviremos en el futuro que ya tenemos encima. En lo que respecta a la especialidad de la que formo parte y concretamente a los estudios en los que se va a basar este trabajo, el turismo, éste constituye uno de los sectores que más dañado saldrá de esta crisis y por lo tanto tendrá que reinventarse para adaptar el futuro a las nuevas exigencias marcadas por la situación, y esta adaptación pasa inevitablemente por la aplicación de innovación, tecnología y nuevas formas de entender las profesiones, con mucha inteligencia real y artificial, una visión futurista que ya se ha hecho presente a la fuerza, los estudiantes por lo tanto, como futuros profesionales del turismo, tendrán que estar preparados para improvisar en situaciones críticas y poner en práctica el concepto Resiliencia. Dicho lo anterior y centrándonos en el desarrollo de este TFM debo decir que, dadas las circunstancias,y con el objetivo de apoyarme, en mayor medida en una experiencia real, me he basado fundamentalmente en la oportunidad que tuve durante el curso 2015-2016 en el IES Virgen de la Candelaria, concretamente como profesora de los Ciclos Superiores de FP de Guía y Asistencia Turística y de Agencia de Viajes y Organización de Eventos, este trabajo lleva incorporado un resumen de la memoria de esa experiencia docente, de algo más de dos meses, como profesora de Formación Profesional en el departamento de Hostelería y Turismo en el IES Virgen de la Candelaria de Santa Cruz de Tenerife, entre los meses de marzo y junio durante el curso 2015-2016. Además, fruto de esa experiencia y analizando la actual situación, se hace una propuesta de programación, más adaptada a la actualidad con la que se formen profesionales emprendedores capaces de poner en marcha herramientas para hacer frente a las coyunturas adversas como la actual y aplicando una metodología acorde a las circunstancias, ha llegado el momento de la transformación digital

If someone had given us the slightest hint as to how the end of this course was going to unfold, we would have thought that they were talking about a science fiction film, but more than ever reality has surpassed fiction and the situation we went through at the time of preparing this work would never have been imagined in our lives, a situation that has meant great world-wide commotion, and which has affected all aspects of our lives, domestic, work, social, family and of course student life. It is in this student aspect that we have been affected for the completion of our Master, having to suddenly interrupt our classes and adapt to telematic life for our academic tasks, already in the final stretch of the course. Now, more than ever, an analysis of the teaching programmes of our specialities makes sense, since nothing will ever be the same again and this will mean a turning point in educational methodologies, but also in the contents and activities to be carried out to adapt them to the new reality that we will experience in the future that we already have on our hands. With regard to the speciality of which I am a part and specifically the studies on which this work is going to be based, tourism, this is one of the sectors that will be most affected by this crisis and will therefore have to reinvent itself in order to adapt the future to the new demands marked by the situation, and this adaptation will inevitably involve the application of innovation, technology and new ways of understanding the professions, with a lot of real and artificial intelligence, a futuristic vision that has already made itself present by force, students therefore, as future tourism professionals, will have to be prepared to improvise in critical situations and put the concept of Resilience into practice. Having said this and focusing on the development of this TFM, I must say that, given the circumstances, and with the aim of relying more on a real experience, I have based myself fundamentally on the opportunity I had during the 2015-2016 academic year at the Virgen de la Candelaria Secondary School, specifically as a teacher of the Higher Vocational Training Courses in Tourist Guiding and Assistance and Travel Agency and Events Organisation, This work includes a summary of the report of that teaching experience, of just over two months, as a teacher of Professional Training in the Department of Hospitality and Tourism at the Virgen de la Candelaria High School in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, between the months of March and June during the academic year 2015-2016. Moreover, as a result of this experience and analyzing the current situation, a proposal for a program is made, more adapted to the present day, with which to train enterprising professionals capable of implementing tools to face adverse situations such as the current one and applying a methodology in accordance with the circumstances, the time has come for the digital transformation.
