La producción y la interacción oral en el aula de Lengua Extranjera

Abstract

En esta investigación en acción (I-A), ofrecemos un análisis de la situación actual y la problemática existente en la enseñanza-aprendizaje de las destrezas orales (producción e interacción oral) en el aula de Lengua Extranjera en la etapa de Secundaria. Para ello, tomamos como grupo experimental al alumnado de 1.º ESO del IES Santa Úrsula y analizamos las dificultades que experimentan al hablar inglés en clase. Posteriormente, y teniendo en cuenta este análisis, diseñamos una situación de aprendizaje con un marcado enfoque comunicativo y centrada en el trabajo cooperativo que pretende, a través de recursos como la motivación, mejorar la actitud y el rendimiento del estudiantado. Con los datos obtenidos, evaluamos los resultados y sugerimos la mejora de aspectos que pueden suponer un cambio positivo en la respuesta cognitiva y emocional de nuestro alumnado.

In this action-research (A-R), we offer an analysis of the current situation and the difficulties that take place during the teaching-learning process of oral skills (oral production and oral interaction) in the subject of English as a Second Language. In order to do that, we took as experimental group the 1st CSE students from IES Santa Úrsula and we analysed the problems they experienced when they had to face communication in English by using of their oral skills. Subsequently, and having this analysis in mind, we designed a learning situation focused on cooperative work, which intends, through resources such as motivation, to enhance students’ attitude and, consequently, their performance in the use of oral skills. With the collection of these data, we assess the results and suggest the improvement of some aspects that could imply a positive change in our pupils’ cognitive and emotional response.
