Los Servicios Públicos de Empleo: desarrollo histórico y retos de futuro.

Abstract

Los Servicios Públicos de Empleo nacieron para cubrir una necesidad social de solventar los problemas en el empleo. Para conocer qué evolución han experimentado desde su creación en el siglo XIX, pasando por la dictadura franquista, la Transición, su gran presencia a raíz de la Democracia hasta la actualidad, se estudiarán en el siguiente trabajo, algunos de los contextos sociales en los que se ha desarrollado su andadura así como las novedades que ha ido incluyendo en su catálogo de funciones. Se analizará también qué otros organismos componen su estructura y las demás entidades que dependen del Servicio Público de Empleo; en especial, el Servicio Canario de Empleo.

The Public Employment Services were born to cover a social need to solve employment problems. To know what evolution they have experience since their creation in the 19th century, going through the Franco dictatorship, the Transition, their great presence as a result of Democracy until today, some of the social contexts in which it has developed its journey as well as the news that it has been including in its catalog of functions. It will also analyze what other organizations make up its structure and the other entities that depend on the Public Employment Service; in particular, the Canary Islands Employment Service.
