Abstract

En la odisea del tiempo perdura un factor determinante que avanza por la senda de la historia: la escuela. Se observa su pasado tan complejo, su transdisciplinariedad y cómo ha servido de pilar fundamental para el progreso de la humanidad. La escuela presencial como un espacio físico de comunicación y aprendizaje al servicio del conocimiento y la comunidad. El péndulo del tiempo trae consigo la era tecnológica. La educación presencial y on-line juegan un papel imprescindible en el presente donde, además, se analiza el estado actual de la misma, debido a la pandemia causada por la COVID-19. Un nuevo reto educativo se presenta con aires distópicos. Se hace necesario un análisis de los aspectos positivos y negativos que esta brecha tecnológica ha causado. Finalmente se plantea una perspectiva de futuro sobre la educación on-line y sus consecuencias. ¿Qué educación viene y para qué ciudadanía?

The odyssey of time witnesses how a determining factor stands the ravages of history: school. Its complex past and its transdisciplinarity can be observed through the aspects that have defined it as a fundamental basis for the evolution of mankind. From the traditional on-site classes as a physical space for the process of communication and learning at the service of knowledge and the community to the technological era, both classroom-based and online education play a crucial role in present-day societies, contributing to the analysis of the current state of affairs, due to the pandemics caused by COVID-19. Thus, a new challenge appears through the lens of a dystopian atmosphere. Accordingly, it seems necessary to analyse the positive and negative aspects derived from the technological gap originated by these events. The present research will partially aim to offer future prospects about on-line education and its consequences. What education is coming and for which citizens?
