Las TIC en adolescentes canarios: ¿uso o abuso?

Abstract

Las TIC son herramientas muy apetecibles para los adolescentes, cuyo desconocimiento les perjudica el desarrollo personal, familiar y social. Ante el uso y abuso investigados en los últimos diez años, este trabajo pretende conocer los dispositivos que usan, su formación, frecuencia de uso de dispositivos, servicios y programas; el fin de uso y su frecuencia, dependencia y diferencias por sexo. Se aplica a 141 alumnos, 71 chicas y 69 chicos, entre 14 y 17 años, un cuestionario online dentro del aula. Resultando que todos tienen móvil, aprenden autónomamente, usan frecuentemente el móvil, mensajería y RRSS y el principal uso de TIC lo hacen con descarga de archivos multimedia y realización de tareas escolares, y para relacionarse con familiar y amigos, existe más abuso en las chicas. En el plano familiar se ha demostrado que no utilizan las TIC por moda y le enseñan su uso a sus familiares. Por ello, es importante la orientación y la intervención a través de educación escolar, sus herramientas y sus peligros; y crear una red de alumnado, profesorado y familias a través de pequeños grupos que sean como puntos de encuentro y ocio para contar y comunicar situaciones de cualquier índole.

ICTs are very desirable tools for adolescents, whose ignorance harms them personal, family and social development. Given the use and abuse investigated in the last ten years, this work aims to know the devices they use, their training, frequency of use of devices, services and programs; the end of use and its frequency, dependence and differences by sex. An online questionnaire is applied to 141 students, 71 girls and 69 boys, between 14 and 17 years old. As it turns out that everyone has a mobile phone, they learn autonomously, they frequently use their cell phone, messaging and RRSS and the main use of ICT is done with downloading multimedia files and carrying out homework, and to interact with family and friends, there is more abuse in girls. On the family level, it has been shown that they do not use ICT by fashion and teach its use to their families. Therefore, guidance and intervention through school education, its tools and its dangers is important; and create a network of students, teachers and families through small groups that are as meeting and leisure points to tell and communicate situations of any kind
