dc.description.abstract | This work arises from the intention of telling stories of adversity and how listening and giving voice builds resilience in people. Two goals were set. The first, conducting interviews with women with adversity and giving them a voice to strengthen them through resilience. The second is to amplify these stories by sharing them with more people, observing how listening to these narratives affects them. An anterior and posterior questionnaire and a semi-structured interview were used to analyze the stories of 7 women with adversity. For the second objective, a meeting was held with 31 people, the stories were told and information was collected through two indicators "what I take and what I leave behind. For the results of the interview and the information collected from the second objective, we used an analysis of inductive and deductive categories. In terms of results, we observed that the women had slightly increased their resilience when being listened to, and had used numerous protective factors in their lives. As for what the people who heard the stories took away, we found that prejudices and an empty concept of what they believed to be resilience is what they leave behind, and they lead a different way of understanding and facing the adversities of life. | en |
