Recopilación de las estrategias farmacológicas en el tratamiento de la covid-19

Abstract

La aparición del coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 y la consecuente pandemia de COVID-19 ha supuesto para la comunidad científica un gran reto debido a la necesidad urgente de desarrollar terapias y vacunas que consigan controlar la enfermedad. Para ello ha sido esencial el estudio detallado de la biología de este virus y la investigación bioquímica e inmunológica, que ha permitido encontrar las dianas terapéuticas más adecuadas y los fármacos capaces de atacarlas. Por tanto, la información aquí recopilada intenta resumir la bibliografía sobre el tratamiento de la covid-19 utilizado hasta el momento, desde antivirales hasta vacunas, sin pretender ser una guía de práctica clínica o un protocolo de actuación.

The appearance of the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus and the consequent COVID-19 pandemic has represented a great challenge for the scientific community due to the urgent need to develop therapies and vaccines that manage to control the disease. For this, detailed study of the biology of this virus and biochemical and immunological research have been essential, which has made it possible to find the most suitable therapeutic targets and the drugs capable of attacking them. Therefore, the information collected here attempts to summarize the literature on the treatment of COVID-19 used to date, from antivirals to vaccines, without pretending to be a clinical practice guide or an action protocol.
