This project consists of the 3D simulation and automation of the welding process of a chassis in the assembly line of an automotive industry. During the performance of this project, we worked on modeling and programming tasks of the equipment present at the station in order to achieve the correct operation of the selected stages. In relation to these stages we can find tasks related to the control of a pressing process, the programming of manipulators that make actions of placing, gripping and welding parts. Also we find tasks related with the control of a painting process, the modeling of the chassis of a Smart vehicle and the configuration of digital signals that build the logic of the station. This project has been developed thanks to the use of different software packages that have allowed the correct operation of the station. The 3D simulation software allows us to visualize how the first parts that arrive at the station are pressed and manipulated by robotic arms for their shipment, placement and welding on the chassis of a Smart vehicle. This car has also been created from scratch by using a CAD tool that allows the modeling of pieces. Furthermore, in this project we can also visualize a basic painting process and the welding of the back part of the chassis thanks to the control of a mobile robotized system. This work offers a large number of application possibilities: for educational purposes and for the industrial sector because it allows programming systems and visualizing their operation, verifying, before their installation, if they perform the tasks correctly. Thanks to this last application we can detect errors in the code prematurely, improving the program and minimizing the risks. Throughout this document, each of the simulated stages are developed in detail, specifying the operation and interaction of its elements. Also, information is provided about the steps followed to develop this work and the steps that you need to follow to optimize and improve the processes performed. This document also adds other proposed design options and the codes made for the control and simulation of the station, as well as videos that visually explain how it works.en
