Abstract

The purpose of this work is to address the basic aspects of the different regulations that the General Council of the Judiciary has had in Spain, in particular, what concerns the renewal of this organ with constitutional relevance and which is currently generating so much controversy as it is not achieved the necessary majorities. Next we will deal with the different regulations that have existed, and the different alternatives that the different political parties have proposed.

Este trabajo tiene como finalidad abordar los aspectos básicos de las diferentes regulaciones que ha tenido en España el Consejo General del Poder Judicial, en particular, lo que concierne a la renovación de este órgano con relevancia constitucional y que está generando actualmente tanta polémica al no alcanzarse las mayorías necesarias. A continuación trataremos las diferentes regulaciones al respecto, las diferentes alternativas que han propuesto los diferentes partidos políticos y las soluciones que se están dando para enfrentar esta controversia.
