dc.description.abstract | The warehouse plays a fundamental role in the proper functioning of the supply chain in the industrial sector or any business area that works with merchandise. Located between the production process and the distribution process, it allows optimizing costs and improving the service offered to the customer and thereby benefits the company. Therefore, one must be able to preserve the merchandise in the most optimal state possible. But first, it must have the appearance of it and be able to function according to its use. Hence, in this project, minimum facilities have been designed to achieve that purpose. The owner of this warehouse is a distribution company, specifically a publishing company, dedicated to the distribution of books. So the only activity that will be carried out in the warehouse will be as storage, although it has also been planned that a smaller office area will be built for the workers of that company, so these conditions have been taken into account when designing the basic facilities. In this project, the low voltage electrical installation has been designed and calculated so it can provide enough energy supply to the establishment, a fire protection system and emergency lighting as a basic security system in the building, lighting system so that the workers can perform their function properly and mechanical ventilation to provide a clean environment for those employees. As an extra complement, the installation of electricity has taken into account the possibility of recharging the basic transport of a warehouse such as electric forklifts through recharging points for this type of vehicle, so the necessary wiring for it has been calculated too. All the design and the proposed solution have been carried out following the current regulations for each type of installation required, mainly using the low voltage regulations as it is the main part of the installation in the industrial building. | en |
