Disartria mixta : revisión temática y guía de orientación para el paciente con disartia y sus cuidadores

Abstract

La disartria mixta es una alteración de la articulación del habla como consecuencia de un daño neurológico. El objetivo principal de este trabajo es llevar a cabo una revisión teórica y la elaboración de una guía de orientación, destinada al paciente y a su entorno cercano. Existen diversas causas que pueden generarla como los accidentes cerebro vasculares y las enfermedades neurodegenerativas. Se conocen diversas metodologías de evaluación, pero se consideró interesante la propuesta por Ortiz (2014), la cual se toma como referencia para la elaboración de un protocolo de evaluación. En relación a la intervención en este trastorno, la terapia miofuncional es la estrategia más adecuada para afrontar la rehabilitación de las funciones afectadas. Entre las diferentes conclusiones extraídas, la más destacada es la reformulación del papel del entorno familiar del paciente, el cual no debe ejercer como coterapeuta, sino jugar un papel de reforzador y facilitador durante el proceso de rehabilitación.

The mixed dysarthria is an alteration of speech articulation as a result of neurological damage. The main objective of this work is to perform a theoretical review and the development of a guidance note, for the patient and his immediate environment. There are several causes that can generate a dysarthria, as strokes and neurodegenerative diseases. Various assessment methodologies are known, but the proposal by Ortiz (2014), which is taken as a reference for the development of an evaluation protocol was considered interesting. Regarding the intervention in this disorder, myofunctional therapy is the most appropriate strategy to deal with the rehabilitation of the affected functions. Among the different conclusions reached, the most prominent is the reformulation of the role of the family environment of the patient, which should not act as co-therapist, but play a role in reinforcing and facilitator during the rehabilitation process.
