Proyecto piloto sobre el uso de una aplicación móvil para pacientes mayores anticoagulados en Atención Primaria

Abstract

El tratamiento anticoagulante es utilizado para prevenir complicaciones tromboembólicas en personas que padecen ciertas enfermedades en las que hay mayor riesgo de formación de coágulos. En España, se estima que 800.000 personas aproximadamente tienen que tomar este tipo de tratamiento. Existen diferentes estudios que muestran una baja adherencia al tratamiento con anticoagulantes orales. Para mejorar esta adherencia se podría recurrir a la utilización de las nuevas tecnologías, ya que el uso de aplicaciones móviles parece ser una buena solución digital en personas con enfermedades crónicas según algunos investigadores. Teniendo en cuenta lo anterior y la problemática de la COVID-19 respecto a la atención presencial, se puede alentar a la población geriátrica a usar tecnología de fácil acceso para llevar un mejor control de su patología, permitiendo mantener la interacción con su enfermera de Atención Primaria. Este proyecto tiene como objetivo evaluar la idoneidad del uso de una aplicación móvil que pueda influir en la adherencia de pacientes en tratamiento anticoagulante con acenocumarol y warfarina. Se diseña un estudio piloto con una muestra de 59 personas mayores de 60 años. Estos participantes deberán rellenar un cuestionario donde se tendrán en cuenta una serie de variables sociodemográficas y relacionadas con el tratamiento anticoagulante. Además, completarán de forma previa y posterior a la intervención el Test de Morisky-Green para valorar su nivel de adherencia terapéutica. Al finalizar el estudio, rellenarán una encuesta de satisfacción respecto al uso de la aplicación. El tiempo estimado para la realización de esta investigación es de 12 meses.

A pilot study is designed with a sample of 59 people over 60 years of age. These participants must fill out a questionnaire where a series of sociodemographic variables and those related to anticoagulant treatment will be taken into account. In addition, they will complete the Morisky-Green Test before and after the intervention to assess their level of therapeutic adherence. At the end of the study, they will fill out a satisfaction survey regarding the use of the application. The estimated time to carry out this investigation is 12 months.
