Efecto direccional en dobles condicionales prefactuales

Abstract

La hipótesis semántica sostiene que la direccionalidad inherente de la relación entre el objeto y el relatum es el factor principal que genera un efecto direccional en las tareas de razonamiento. Dicha teoría afirma que la mayoría de los conectivos que se utilizan en las tareas de razonamiento deductivo tienen una direccionalidad inherente. Hasta ahora se ha estudiado este efecto en condicionales fácticos por ello se busca comprobar si se puede extrapolar los resultados hallados en la hipótesis semántica a condicionales prefactuales. Estos condicionales se centran en la incertidumbre o la probabilidad de que un hecho ocurra en el futuro. Este experimento tiene como objetivo por tanto mostrar que el sesgo direccional en los condicionales prefácticos se ve afectado por el lugar que ocupa el relatum en las premisas. Se encontró los efectos buscados en cada una de las cuatro condiciones además de una triple interacción entre la dirección de la respuesta, tipo de figura y lugar del relatum.

The semantic hypothesis says that the inherent directionality of the relationship between the object and the relatum is the main factor that generates a directional effect in reasoning tasks. This theory states that most of the connectives used in deductive reasoning tasks have an inherent directionality. Until now, this effect has been studied in factual conditionals, therefore, it is sought to verify if the results found in the semantic hypothesis can be extrapolated to prefactual conditionals. These conditionals focus on the uncertainty or probability that an event will happen in the future. This experiment therefore aims to show that the directional bias in prefactual conditionals is affected by the place that the relatum occupies in the premises. The effects sought in each of the four conditions were found in addition to a triple interaction between the direction of the response, type of figure and place of the relatum.
