Habermas ante las objeciones de Hegel contra el deber ser kantiano: una concepción realista de lo ideal

Abstract

Habermas comparte con Kant la apuesta por lo posible, lo ideal y el deber ser morales, y con Hegel, la crítica del carácter abstracto de la posibilidad y del deber ser kantianos, así como la realista atención a las condiciones de lo realmente posible y de lo ideal. En este trabajo me propongo mostrar que la confluencia de tales motivos, kantianos y hegelianos, en el pensamiento de Habermas permite detectar las claves de una concepción del deber ser y de lo ideal que hace justicia a dos rasgos esenciales de lo realmente posible: la referencia al futuro y a condiciones insertas en lo real.

Habermas shares with Kant the commitment to the posible, the ideal and duty to be moral, and with Hegel, the critique of the abstract carácter of kantian possibility and ought-be, as well as the realistic attention to the conditions of the really posible and the ideal. In this paper I intend to show that the confluence of such motifs, Kantian and Hegelian, in Habermas’ thought allows us to detect the keys to a conception of what should be and the ideal that does justice to the two essential features of what is really posible: the refence to the future and to conditions embedded in the real.
