alumnado TEA. The main aim of education is for people to be integrated and included in society.
Therefore, schools must adapt to the needs of society. The system must recognise and accept
the diversity of students, adapting the conditions and staff of educational centres to their
needs.
The main aim of this final degree project is to find out the need for support teachers
when there are ASD pupils in Infant classrooms, by means of a case study at the San
Fernando Duggi educational centre. This is due to the personalised attention and adaptations
that this type of pupil needs, especially at an early age, which favours their inclusion.
In order to respond to this study objective, a qualitative study has been carried out by
means of interviews with: four Early Childhood Education teachers, the support teacher of
the stage and the Therapeutic Pedagogy professional. After analysing and contrasting the
information gathered, we will learn about the educational reality of today's society, and the
need for an education professional in the ordinary classroom who can meet the needs of ASD
pupils will be justified.
