Aproximación analítica al estudio de las expectativas del alumnado de secundaria.

Abstract

En el presente documento se expone un proyecto de memoria de una investigación donde se han trabajado las expectativas de trayectoria escolar futura del alumnado de 4º de la ESO de dos centros diferentes, uno de carácter concertado de la zona norte de Tenerife; es decir zona metropolitana y otro público situado en una zona más periférica del sur de la isla. Dentro de dicha investigación se ha tenido en cuenta no solo al alumnado y su género sino que también el nivel académico de las familias; es decir, los estudios tanto de su padre como de su madre para así poder comprobar si el contexto familiar juega un papel importante en las expectativas e incluso en las decisiones que tome el alumnado de cara a su futuro académico e incluso su visión de cara a este. Tras llevar a cabo la recogida de datos se realizará un análisis descriptivo de los datos y tras esto, serán introducidos en el programa SPSS para que a través de una tabla cruzada con las variables independientes anteriormente mencionadas, se puedan comprobar los resultados obtenidos en cada una de las variables dependientes. Una vez hecho esto, se concluirá con una discusión de los resultados en base a otras investigación similares realizadas por otros autores y autoras para contrastar toda la información recogida.

This document presents a draft report of a research project in which we have worked on the expectations of the future school career of pupils in the 4th year of ESO in two different schools, one of a subsidized nature in the northern area of Tenerife, that is the metropolitan area, and the other a public school located in a more peripheral area in the south of the island. Within this research we have taken into account not only the pupils and their gender but also the academic level of the families, i.e. the studies of both the father and the mother, in order to check whether the family context plays an important role in the expectations and even in the decisions taken by the pupils with regard to their academic future and even their vision of it. After carrying out the data collection, a descriptive analysis of the data will be carried out and after this, they will be introduced into the SPSS programme so that through a cross table with the independent variables mentioned above, the results obtained in each of the dependent variables can be checked. Once this has been done, we will conclude with a discussion of the results based on other similar research carried out by other authors in order to contrast all the information gathered.
