2022Abstract
This Final Degree Project shows an analysis of telemedicine taught at the Tejina
Health Center (San Cristóbal de La Laguna), being a study focused more specifically on one
of the modalities of telemedicine, which is teleconsultation. The analysis of the work is
carried out through a questionnaire about the teleconsultations given. This questionnaire was
distributed in the Health Center and on social networks, with the participation of 192 users
who met the following requirements: of legal age and belonged to the Tejina Health Center.
With this, the opinion of the users about the use of the teleconsultation given in the Tejina
Health Center from the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic is known.
The results obtained through this survey showed that the majority of surveyed were
women between the ages of 18 and 25, the majority of those users had previously made a
telephone appointment showing that they are happy with the implementation of this modality
and that they are satisfied with the work carried out by the health personnel, specifically the
nurses. The time users save, for each phone appointment is from 1 to 3 hours, as the study
shows. The general trend of the respondents is acceptance, satisfaction and adaptation with
the teleconsultations given at the Health Center, with the exception that certain health
problems require face-to-face care. A high percentage of users would request a telephone
appointment again and consider that they would leave this activity for certain bureaucratic
procedures.
